Time to Organize
This is a great time to recycle scrap brass. I’ve kept these obsolete Schlage plugs and cylinders for twenty years, but now it’s time to have them melted down. The current price is about $0.30 per pound. This batch weighs about 60 pounds. The local recycler in Auburn takes brass. Included in this batch is about ten pounds of old keys. Lively Locks & Dead Bolts recycles about 100 pounds per year of scrap brass!
These are oddball Schlage cylinders in keyways E, F, FG, CE, and a few numbered keyways like 1246 and 1347.These will be melted down as scrap brass
