Owner/Operator, Michael C. Tritel, started as a locksmith in Hollywood, California, and in 1978 opened a lock shop in Kings Beach on the north shore of Lake Tahoe. In 1995 he and his wife, Cathie, moved to Auburn, California, where Mike established Lively Locks & Dead Bolts. Mike takes advantage of the Sierra environment by bird-watching, hiking, nature-writing, gardening, and skiing. He doesn’t play trumpet anymore, but dabbles with the piano and other musical toys.

With over 30 years of field experience, our most valued clients include banks, school districts, CHP offices, U.S. Post Offices, apartment and retirement villages, Realtors, mobile home parks, car dealerships, restaurants and many other businesses located throughout Placer County and the Sierra Foothills. By offering quality service and hardware, while maintaining a friendly atmosphere for a long term working relationship, our goal is to help the public secure their property.
